Runes represent an ancient 24-character alphabet that dates back to the year 150AD in Scandinavia. By 600AD, Runes became used a popular tool in Nordic mythology to channel divine guidance. In fact, the word Rune comes from the old Norse word "Runa", meaning secret or mystery.
The best way to connect with the Rune symbols and use them as a guidance tool to connect to your higher self is to create your own set of Rune stones. You can use flat rocks, stones, cubes of wood, or flattened glass beads.
In this 3 hour workshop, we will discuss the history of the Runes and the meaning of each symbol. You will learn how to do four types of readings: a 1 stone & 3 stone reading, a "Runic Cross" reading and a full throw. You will then paint your own set of Runes and do sample readings with others in the workshop.
What You Need: 25 flat rocks, stones, or pieces of wood (aim for the size of a quarter to a half dollar). We will also have materials on hand if you prefer to use our materials.
